im gonna start by saying we are gonna change rays trucks name from "mud slut" to [COLOR="Red"]VERTIGO[/COLOR].
it started to be a very disorganized trip. i wasnt ready till 8:30pm because of some starter issues. ray had a drive shaft to build so he got there hour or so after everybody else. donnie smoked his clutch. i had carb issues the whole time and the motor wouldt run at times. mikey actually showed up to the hump finally. me, dwayne, mikey and garret made it to the clearing right before the prairie but turn back because pete hydrolocked in a puddle, snorkel that thing pete.
ray drove into a deep hole, good spotting garret, and grenaded his transfer case. me and pete winched him up to high ground. i swung back to the main grade and was hanging out with everyone else thinking pete had it under control winching him the last bit of trail, ray we should have gone straight back. we were all talking about 40 yards behind pete, in pitch dark. i remember hearing ray yell stop, stop ,stop. we yelled stop, granted we could not see ray, we could only hear. pete stop the winch and it seem like 3 seconds later we heard a splash. nothing major just enough to question. then we realized that was the f250 turning over. it took some time top ray out. he wasnt pinned or anything, just stubborn. he wanted to find his phone. i took the samurai around and winch it back over. we spent hours winching with broken winches. got him turned around eventually and then david and garret spent a couple hours on rays hood jumping the winch connections. got him 20 yards from the main grade where he sat till morning.
morning, that was rough. did get 5 minutes sleep, while i was standing. dan and cathy brought breakfast back. dan went to sleep, he needs his beauty sleep. me and ray spent a few hours f-ing around with things that wernt working. no red dress involved. the final thing that eventual did work was we removed my winch from the reciever. it didnt fit rays so we used ratchet straps to hold it down, yea i know but he is cuban. we winched him backwards went down a side trail and straight out, with the help of dans f150. hit the main grade around 11:30 am. we will have pics once we get them from amanda, who ever she is.
highlights of the night? garret chewing everybody out for sitting on there ass. lonnie showing up in a stock samurai, he had to be doing good. walking out of the wood and seeing dwayne with his jeep full of girls. dans widow getting busted out by a four wheeler. the flip of course. watching a chunk of rays transfer case fall into the water. sean driving dans f150 into a hole that a pete was just stuck in.

mind you the transfer case was about 90 degrees from where its hanging now, looks like the casing gave out right where i had the stress crack before"
